Laura's Snickerdoodles

Still in Christmas baking mode and these were so easy to make. Lovely Laura G. thought to share this recipe with me when I was on the hunt for another Christmas cookie. Thanks again, Laura!



Laura's Snickerdoodles

1 cup Butter
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups Flour
2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 Tbls. Sugar
2 tsp. Cinnamon

Cream the butter and sugar together and add eggs, blending thoroughly.

Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt and add to egg mixture. Mix well.  Form into 1 inch balls.

Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls in mixture and place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly brown.
